If there's one thing I've come to accept about my personal style over the past year, it's that I'm a trouser gal. I always try to give skirts and dresses a fair shot, but inevitably turn to jeans or trousers most days. I love their versatility, their effortlessly cool vibe, the fact they go with practically every type of shoe. Having come to accept this fact, one of my style resolutions for 2025 was to broaden my collection of trousers, and that means that for the past two months I've been fixated on figuring out what styles are going to be the top trouser trends for the rest for the year.

It always makes me relieved to see classic styles come to the top of the trending charts, and this season is no exception. From pinstripe tailored trousers to corduroys (which I've already worked into my rotation to great success), many of the top trousers that tastemakers are backing for 2025 are timeless options that will always come back into sartorial rotation. Given that I know trousers and jeans form the foundation of my wardrobe, I'm happy to invest in a truly classic pair, but there are also plenty of high street options that will do the trick, too.

Style Notes: We've been singing the praises of the silk trouser trend for some time now, but this supremely classy trouser isn't going anywhere this year. Go loose and effortless, or opt for a more tailored look, and layer on the knitwear to make it winter-appropriate.
